Exploring Schoodic

Today was a day of exploration of the environment right here at the Schoodic Penninsula. This is an amazing place. We hiked the Alder, Schoodic Head Trail, and Anvil trails. These trails took us to high rocky overlooks covered in blueberries and lichen. Wind swept pines grew among the rocks. We walked out to Schoodic Point at high tide to see the waves and sit among the rocks. I got to sketch a bit there. We found the perfect spot for me to sit and paint. I'm going to hoist my pastels to the rocky ledge we found and start a plein air painting tomorrow morning.
