Work and Fun--- July 8

Today marks one full week since we arrived at Schoodic. The time has flown by. I got up early and worked in the studio until 11. We took the shuttle bus to Winter Harbor and spent several fun hours exploring the shops. We had a delightful lunch at Gerrick's and walked to the Five and Dime and to several art galleries and antique shops. We also stopped at the Schoodic Art Center where they are going to have an "American Idol" like contest near the end of July. Kara, one of the national judges summers here and they are going to have her as a judge for their local contest. The town of Winter Harbor was absolutely charming and the people we met were so friendly and personable. From the shuttle bus driver, Pete, to the older gentleman walking his Lhasa Apso, the Winter Harbor experience was super. Now that the supper dishes are done, I need to walk back up to the studio and get back to work. I am working on a big oil painting of a tide pool. Hopefully, pictures will follow tomorrow. Thank you to everyone for all of your prayers. Keep the comments coming!!!! We bloggers need comments.---- dee

  1. Hi Dee!
So, are you planning to enter the singing contest? Winter Harbor sounds like a town I could spend July in, too!:)
